What are Microglia?

Microglia are a population of special white blood cells that only live in the brain and they are involved in the normal pruning of neurons during the developmental process and the repair of neurons after injury. Unfortunately, bacterial overgrowth can alter the behavior of microglia that will lead to a recurrence of cumulative brain injury if the protocol is stopped.
