Can The Nemechek Protocol benefit persons with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

Yes. The Nemechek Protocol for Autonomic Recovery is designed to reduce elevated levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and the presence of abnormally primed M1- microglia. These 2 pathological processes prevent recovery from brain injury, interfere with neuronal/synaptic pruning, interfere with brain development in utero, and are a key feature of the neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ALS). It is capable of reversing a wide range of chronic neurological conditions (migraine and cluster headaches, chronic fatigue, generalized anxiety, depression/PTSD, ADD/ADHD) as well as intestinal disorders (heartburn, reflux, IBS, constipation, diarrhea, etc.), and it’s potent anti-inflammatory effect substantially reduces symptoms associated with autoimmune disorders (Crohn’s, psoriasis, MS, rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto’s, etc.)

If a child has chronic diarrhea before protocol, and with inulin had a few days of solid stools then does back to diarrhea, what does that mean?

I consider a few things if diarrhea begins after starting the protocol or persists despite the protocol. The most important aspect is to ensure there are no serious intestinal issues such as inflammatory bowel disease. If there is a fever, blood, or mucous in the stool, stop the protocol and seek a physician’s advice. If the child seems healthy despite diarrhea, I stop the oils to see if they contribute to the problem. Suppose diarrhea improves after stopping the oils, lower or split the dosing of the oils. Consider the contribution of other supplements or medications. If these steps do not help, I continue the protocol, and eventually, diarrhea will stop without any immediate treatment.

Can The Nemechek Protocol benefit persons with generalized or chronic anxiety?

Yes. The Nemechek Protocol for Autonomic Recovery is designed to reduce elevated levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and the presence of abnormally primed M1- microglia. Is chlorinated pool water harmful for children?

No.

Does chiropractic treatment interfere with The Nemechek Protocol?

I believe traditional chiropractic care can be very useful in individuals with musculoskeletal complaints but I do not believe chiropractic care is useful as a specific treatment for autism or developmental issues. Unfortunately, many chiropractors are pushing the use of multiple supplements which will not help children.

Does chiropractic treatment to stimulate the vagus nerve in a useful manner?

Not in respect to lowering inflammation and helping the developmental process.

Can I change to chicory root inulin?

Yes, it should work just as well as agave inulin. My primary concern with changing away from the Nemechek-approved inulin brands is the high amount of fraudulent products for sale in the marketplace. I have had many cases of children not improving simply because they were placed on the incorrect brand of inulin.

How does the protocol differ from chelation and is one better than the other?

The Nemechek Protocol works by allowing the brain to shift back into repair mode, enabling it to repair itself. The protocol reduces inflammation by balancing the gut bacteria with inulin or rifaximin, fish oil, and olive oil. Scientists now understand that inflammation is the catalyst behind most medical issues and developmental delays prevalent in our modern world.nnChelation assumes that heavy metals and toxicity are the core issue. Therefore, the focus is on detoxification, which often requires many supplements and very rigid dosing schedules. It does nothing to address SIBO or inflammation, and thus I am not convinced it can bring about proper neurological recovery.

How do I know when to change doses?

Other than increasing the fish oil and olive oil doses every year or 2 as the child ages, altering or reducing the doses of individual components of the protocol often leads to confusion and may even reduce the protocol’s effectiveness if mistakes are made. Once you have determined your dose of inulin, the inulin dose does not increase as the child ages. You stick with this inulin dose until it is no longer effective, at that point, you switch to Rifaximin.

Is The Nemchek Protocol helpful in children with Cerebral Palsy?

Children with varying degrees of impairment from cerebral palsy often experience substantial neurological improvement with The Nemechek Protocol.
