I’ve heard of children recovering from valtrex (anti-virals). Do viruses cause autism in some cases or did the Valtrex accidentally control the gut bacteria?

I know of no evidence to suggest viruses contribute to the development of autism in any fashion. Without understanding any individual case, I cannot comment on any potential improvement someone may have noted while using an anti-viral agent such as Valtrex.
